The CES 2021 is in full swing. Asus ROG once again has some exciting devices in the pipeline for gamers this year, which have now been officially unveiled. In addition to some exciting, mobile gaming solutions, including a gaming convertible.

Asus ROG also wants to gain a foothold on the market with an external graphics card solution. We have summarized all the important announcements for you here.


ROG Flow X13 and ROG XG Mobile

With the external GPU, gamers can secure a lot of performance despite a mobile solution. It starts with the ROG Flow X13. This is a gaming convertible that has probably rarely been seen in this form until now.

The device, which can also be used as a tablet or in tent mode thanks to its 360-degree flexibility, features an AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card. An FHD panel with 120Hz and gorilla glass for mobile use is used as the display.

The ROG Flow X13 should stay cool and quiet thanks to a clever ventilation system. The 2-in-1 convertible will be available from the middle of the first quarter of 2021 at a price of 1499 euros.

If you want more performance for the ROG Flow X13, you can rely on a new external GPU solution from ROG. The ROG XG Mobile should deliver more graphic power in a compact design.

There is room for an Nvidia RTX 3080, while the “PCIe 3.0 x8” interface of the XG Mobile provides 63 Gbit/s bandwidth exclusively for graphics. Other features of the ROG XG Mobile:


  • USB 3.2 Gen. 2 connection that feeds an I / O hub with four USB Type A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an SD card slot and a Gigabit Ethernet port

ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE

The Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE should especially attract core gamers. The special edition of the ROG Zephyrus Duo uses the ROG ScreenPad Plus secondary display with next-generation AMD processors.

This then offers the user more screen space for games and other tasks. The display folds up 13 degrees when the notebook display is opened. This not only enables a better viewing angle, but also better cooling of the device.

If gamers are looking for the best package, you can get an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor with 8 cores and 16 threads and an RTX 3080.

Customers can choose between a 4K panel with 120Hz refresh rate or an FHD display with 300Hz Refresh rate and 3 ms response time. The ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE will be available from mid-Q1 2021 from € 2,499.


ROG Strix SCAR 15, SCAR 17, ROG Zephyrus G14 and G15

The Asus ROG Scar 15 is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2021. The ROG gaming laptops SCAR 15 and 17 are equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card and an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX.

Including 32GByte DDR4-3200 RAM, the devices should have enough power to play all games on very high settings for the next few years. So that the whole thing is also suitable for eSports, both devices offer 300 Hz FHD panels with a response time of 3 ms.

The new models should be even more compact compared to their predecessors. The ROG Strix SCAR 17 will be available from the end of January 2021 from 1799 euros and the SCAR 15 from mid-Q1 2021 from 1,499 euros,


ROG Zephyrus G15 and upgrade for the ROG Zephyrus G14

The popular ROG Zephyrus G14 will be upgraded in 2021. There is now space for a 120Hz display. The new ROG Zephyrus G15, on the other hand, includes an AMD Ryzen 9 processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 and high-resolution WQHD display with 165Hz and 3ms response time.
