TeamSpeak 3 for macOS

Posted on

With the freeware TeamSpeak you can stay connected to your fellow players via headset even in the hottest online battles. So you always know exactly where your friends are, for example in a tactical shooter.

TeamSpeak for Mac OS

TeamSpeak uses codecs such as CELP, GSM and Speex, which offer a bandwidth of 5.1 Kbit / s up to 25.9 Kbit / s. This protects the online connection without having to accept any loss in voice quality.

Advantages

  • good voice quality
  • widespread

Disadvantage

  • no support for other protocols

To be able to use TeamSpeak, you have to log into a TeamSpeak server with the client software. Of course, you can also set up your own server. You can conveniently manage this via a web interface.

Numerous features such as an address book for managing multiple servers or the whisper function leave little to be desired. Unfortunately, the free tool is not yet compatible with VoIP telephony. In order to be able to use TeamSpeak properly, you need a headset or microphone and loudspeaker.
